My Cutie Kitchen

I think the hardest time I have had with deciding what to do is my kitchen...probably because of the appliance failure. But, that's what happens sometimes when you live vintage. Anyway, here is what we look like now...



I'm falling in love with my Frigidaire, pink and chrome in all her glory with a lazy susan vegetable crisper! Yes, that's a bottom freezer...so convenient to reach in and grab popsicles for the kiddo.

You're gonna love my vintage glass West Bend percolator. It makes the most wonderful coffee and has these amazing lights in the bottom that just make the coffee glow the most wonderful warm amber color. It makes me feel happy to make coffee in it, especially when I enjoy acuppa in my Nest Stone wear.




Don't ya just love the atomic look to this set? I just can't wait to drink my coffee in the morning...




When company comes, we break out the "special stuff"...




I just love the gold atomic stars on the cool glass coffee karafe set with matching glass creamer and sugar pot, but I think my favorite part of it is the metal footed holder...it's sooo out of this world!!!

Sadly I had to remove my beloved 1962 Turquoise GE Wall Mount fridge...

from my vintage kitchen wall...it seems you can't have a coffee pot plugged into the same circuit in an old house as your refrigerator..who'd a thought?
The compressor died, but we gave her a proper burial...covered on skids in storage for now.

But we did replace her with a 1960's Frigidaire in the most lucious shade of PINK like the cutie above!

I do miss my turquoise beauty though, I loved the sound that the doors made when they clicked shut...oh well, now my Frigidaire Flair stove has new kitchen mate...

You ain't livin' until you're livin' (and cookin') vintage! You gotta try it!
