A Huge Thank You...and a Vintage Easter!

Wednesday, March 31, 2010

Hello Everyone...I hope most of you already know my good friend Cat of:
The Vintage Housewife...

she is such an amazing person and is so sweet to spotlight me on her blog. She has been such an inspiration in my life lately and I am truly blessed to call her my friend...if you don't already know her, please check her out at http://thevintagehousewife.blogspot.com/

she is adorable!

Yahoo...Easter is coming and so is Peter Cottontail...I wanted to share some of my vintage easter goodies with ya.

I started collecting years ago and some

are traditional,

some are kitschy,

and some are downright adorable...

anyway, however you find them, I hope you have fun looking too.

These colors are so yummy together...I feel so lucky when I come across these vintage Hallmark holiday decos in mint condition...are you kidding? Use them?

No Way!

They stay in the original package just exactly the way they came from the 5 & dime so many years ago!!!

You just have to see the detail of these cute plastic cupcake picks...I love to use 'em on cupcakes I make for the kiddos at our traditional Easter Sunday Lunch with the WHOLE family...yummies like this don't last long and how I treasure the memories I have collected spending time with my precious family on special holidays.

Hey...Psst...

Wow, look at this fun stuff...

doesn't it make you feel happy?

I love the way these kitschy plastic cake decorations delight me.

My friend, the Chick in the Basket sits smack dab in the middle of my

Easter table!

My Easter post just wouldn't be complete if I didn't give you all a little taste of the vintage handmade doilies from my delicates collection.

This special holiday is always a wonderful reason to display them!

...more eye candy!!!

I love to use these adorable pink birdie candle pics on top of birthday cakes too.

These magical Mary Engelbreit pieces are from my mother's collection...she went home to be with our precious Lord last year and she is dearly missed.

I am blessed to have the good fortune of being able to love and appreciate her treasures the same way she did.

Oh, by the way, this adorable vintage straw purse is going to accompany my easter outfit this coming Sunday.

I want to leave you with one last shot...

...uh oh, look who snuck in...it's Mabel, the Easter Hen!

Wishing you all a blessed Easter Sunday,

make sure to tell your loved ones how special they are to you!

What cute Easter collectibles! And the Mary Engelbreit pieces that belonged to your Mother, I know you truely treasure. I lost my Mom in 2006 and I know how each item can bring many treasured memories.
